Dr Laura Kressly (she/her) is an American freelance dramaturg, critic, producer, and pedagogue who originally trained as an actor and director in the US and UK, and she's been based in London since 2006. In 2024, she completed her PhD on embedded criticism and dramaturgy at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she works as a lecturer across several courses. She also teaches Acting and how to develop a critical practice at ROM Theatre Arts, a musical theatre drama school. Previous academic publications include co-editing and contributing to Notelets of Filth: a companion reader to Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s Emilia and ‘Unpaid and Low-paid Labour on the Fringe: a look at Orange Skies Theatre’ published in Platform Journal.
